I am an 88M in the military (National Guard). I've been deployed twice. My first deployment was doing ECP guard at first, but then we switched to truck driving after a few months. My second deployment was detainee ops. I've also been called up for emergency relief - Hurricane Katrina. My unit has also had the chances to do goodwill missions in Nicaragua and Africa.
When we were doing truck driving in Iraq, our trucks were shot at and we had IEDs. Many people received Combat Action Badges. Some of us did gun trucks and others were tractor/trailers.

If you really want to be an MP, try the ASVAB again and work toward improving your line score. There are books out there to help you improve your score. I suggest you don't settle for an MOS you're not sure you want.

All the stuff in the above answer is correct but there is a cheeky way out of it all.

Rather than deal with your insurance company why not ring the insurance of the person who hit you in the rear directly. That way they will just pay you out without investigating.

Ill explain in a bit more detail. When you use your own insurance your insurance company do a number of checks to see if they can idemnify you (put you back in the position you were before). So for example as your not a driver on your friends jeep they wont idemnify you as your not covered.

But you were hit in the rear and that cars insurance company are liable for any damage they have caused you. Even if you have no insurance they have to deal with you directly which will probably shock a lot of people.

ok even though police report was not filed, they will question the date since most likely the other party maybe able to prove it was on march 30;

if your friends car was rear ended should not be found at fault; if he stated the brakes don't work, they can have a mechanic check out and verify; but then if due to maintenance, it would have been his responsibility to have replaced or repaired.

why state his girlfriend was driving and not you; is it because you dont have a valid license or suspended?

bty; insurance companies have special investigators that work for them. when you hear the term SIU, means special investigation unit. if they suspect lying, they will investigate this and all of you will be on a data base that in the future any other claim comes up, will put out a red flag.

also the girlfriend will also have to lie and state driving; somewhere in the recorded statements when they play back they will catch that this does not make sense.

If there was no damage you should have asked them if they would be ok with not reporting it. If it's your fault, and the army doesn't know about it, I'd keep it that way. You didn't know you needed to report it. to your chain, because it was already taken care of.

The guy said he was not driving so points do not go on his driving record. It goes on his girlfriends driving record instead.

Call the insurance company and just tell them the truth about who was driving. They do understand people make mistakes and sometimes get scared. Just let them know you were on your meds.

Are you referring to the civilian humvees like the H2? They are a totally different thing than the military version. The military doesn't advertise it

I have an H2, but I'd like to trade my Avalanche for an H3. When you go HUMMER you don't go back. If you pull into a HUMMER dealership and they are H2's and H3's parked in a line it is hard to determine which is which at first. I've drove different H3's, but none compare to the one's with the Off-Road Package. At HUMMER of Knoxville, TN they have a off-road course and it is awesome ride in a vehicle that will go over the things that it will. I would recommend an H2 or H3 to anybody.
